Dear Lianna Marie,
I would like to thank you for your kind support with your e-mails throughout the past year, they have been a great help in my coping with Parkinson's. I was devastated when I was first diagnosed as in the past 16 years I have had 4 total knee replacements and a brain tumor removed plus other surgery and this diagnosis was the last straw but through your e-mails I see that Parkinson's can be managed and you have given me hope. Thank you once again.
I received all your e-mails and have downloaded the book.
Thank you for writing such a clear layman's version of what's going on. I've had diagnosed Parkinson's for 5 years and have been fighting cancer for two. At last something that tells me which is which-the specialists tend to blame the other disease.
Lianna...thank you for your e-mail messages...yes, I have received them. I appreciate your responses to so many of the same questions that I have had. I was diagnosed before Christmas with PD...so am still processing that information and thinking about what I need to know. Do you personally answer questions? I am grateful for the way you have used what you have learned to help others.
Even your kind words of God's blessing are appreciated, I certainly believe God's hand is in this disease for His purposes and am trusting Him for tomorrow. I will be participating in a clinical trial at Rush University in Chicago regarding Rasageline and its use to stop the progression of the disease. Thanks again.
I am glad you are THERE to write the book. After reading I am much clearer about some of the things that are happening to me. I reached my crisis about 18 months ago, took most of the time since to get my medicines just right, and today I am often back to feeling as good as 2 years ago. Again, thanks for being there.
First: Having been diagnosed just a couple of months ago, I've been reading all I can about Parkinson's...so, of course, much of your strictly factual material was not new to me. BUT--I love the personal, "we're in this together" approach you take, along with the many practical suggestions from you and your mother; these features alone are worth the price of your lovely e-book. I KNOW I'll be referring to it often in the months and years to come, and I thank you from my heart.
Notably, it was even good to learn that patients who start out without a tremor (like me) usually end up with the worst cases of the disease. I have always preferred truth to darkness, and I'll certainly discuss this with my neurologist at my next appointment.
Thanks again for this little gem of a book, and warmest wishes to your sweet and courageous mom--
Thank you for your book. I have received more information (practical information) there than anyplace else. Thanks. I have just been told I have early Parkinson's and am trying to find out everything I can about it.
Thanks, Lianna. I had no trouble downloading your book and the bonus tips last night after getting on to your web page. I have a mother who was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 18 months ago at the age of 83. Thanks for this labour of love. I appreciate your desire to help others walk this path with more hope and help than your mum or you had 16 years ago. God bless you both.
Your book (which we downloaded) has been an absolute God-send. You have answered every question we have had so far and made us know that Jim (my husband) is really just having the symptoms that you speak of. So many of them we would have really been upset about but your telling us about them just made us realize that this is part of the disease and we are not going crazy after all.
We had a very bad week this past week but your telling us about what was happening made it just a little bit easier to digest.
Thank you for your work. I know that it has been great but what a blessing you are to us who are struggling with this disease. You have just made us know that we're not alone.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you so much for writing the book - it already has answered many of my questions.
I've had PD for about 6 years - diagnosed 3 years ago. Am doing really well on Mirapex and stalevo plus lots of vitamins. So far so good. There were about 6 other people in FT. Smith who were diagnosed the same year I was so we have a great group who meet at parties and such and talk about our ailment!!
Many thanks again for writing the book and for making it simple!!
I did purchase your book last year, it is excellent. It is my dad who has Parkinson's, he is 85 and has had the disease for 10 years.
Your book helped us to understand the disease so much more, this allowed us to communicate better with doctors and care staff.
I would like to thank you for all your help and advice, it has made life a little better for me and helped me look after my dad better.
Very Best Regards
Wonderful! Thank you so much. This books sounds like it will be so much help not only for my mother-n-law but for the family as well. I want to personal thank you for offering such a book. This will help make this disease a little bit easier to understand and deal with.
God Bless you,
I read your book about Parkinson's. Thanks, I found it very help-full to know what to expect.
Thanks again I will treasure your book.
A little email from you does wonders for me! Mother has Lewy Body Dementia. I rely heavily on your book. That has been my best source so far. Thanks so much.
Yes Lianna, have received and downloaded everything you have sent so far. The last are particularly helpful, such as the part for Caregivers. My wife, is the patient, in her third year of PD., so I am the caregiver. She and I are nearly finished with the first reading of the Book. It is already helping a lot.
We have three well known books on PD, which are very good, but yours is much easier, since you have "been there, done that"! Yours is in much more down to earth detail, about things that we need to know on a day-to-day basis.
Thank you so much for your good work.
My wife and I thank you for taking the time to do such thorough research in the are of Parkinson's. Wishing you much success on you book.
I thought I would just write and say thanks so much for your email concerning laughter alleviating depression etc. My Mum has had Parkinson's Disease for three years and is 83. I am her full time Carer, and at times it does get tough, for both of us. It is true that laughter; whether from watching comedy on tv., ("Keeping Up Appearances" is one of my Mum's favourite programs as well), or from our shared sense of humour; helps a lot.
Getting an email from such as yourself also helps a huge amount. I think the money I gave for your book is some of the best money I've ever spent, especially considering the ongoing support you give. Thanks for making us feel better, and not so alone.
Your book has been helpful, has just answered so many questions I had. Just diagnosed last November and have only had one appointment with doctor so have not had a lot of questions answered. diagnosis was actually a relief as I knew something was wrong for four years. now I at least know what I am dealing with, and with the help of your book I now know some things I can do to deal with some of the symptoms.
No problem downloading your book, what a wealth of info. thank you so very much. It has helped me tremendously already, Keep up the good work.
I have already downloaded and printed the book out. I really appreciate having this information. You and your mother showed great courage in putting the book together. I am having trouble with a sometimes trembly right hand and sometimes I find myself walking off to the side of the way I want to go so, of course, I have self diagnosed my problem as Parkinson's. (I am past 70 years old.)
It seems like diagnosing Parkinson's is a matter of eliminating a lot of other possibilities. I am in agreement with the idea that a person is better off to pursue a professional diagnosis sooner rather than later in a lot of ways. Whatever happens, I will remember your mother's bright spirit.
God Bless You for this wonderful work you have done in helping us all to have a better understanding of this disease. I have not finished reading it yet, as my husband got to it first. (He is the one with P.D..) Meanwhile I have placed it in a sturdy binder so that it can be left out in a convenient place as a ready reference. I have found that I have a lot more patience now than before, which can only come from the better understanding I am getting from your book.
Thank you so very much.
Thank you very, very much, Lianna for sending me the Parkinson's e-book. It is very helpful.
I now have a wealth of information at my fingertips for my dear husband, who has had Parkinson's for 7 years and is not good at present.
Many, many thanks.
Thanks for the e-mail. I not only downloaded it, but I printed it out. Got the two bonus parts too, thank you. You were right it is a helpful book and it's a shame more people don't know about it.
We don't belong to any support groups or anything like that so other than what I could research I wasn't getting much information. You make a good point when you say most of it is jargon way beyond the layman. Will be looking forward to any updates.
Lianna: I received your book yesterday. I am in the midst of reading it and think it hits the very spot on most of the things that I have experienced as I have had PD since about Jan-Feb 2000. Thanks again
All pages are downloaded. Thanks so much for your time and concern. I am eager to read the information. I looked at some of the pages as they came from the printer tray. Your work is appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
I haven't had time to read all of the book yet but it seems "just right". I need it for my sister who has PD and she lives in Ireland.
Thank you very much again for taking the trouble to write this. Certainly it is a labour of love - not of finance. Trust your Mom is still doing well.
Thanks, my parents are really enjoying all the info in your book.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! This is awesome!! I am an RN helping a girlfriend go through Parkinson's.....this will really help us both!!! God Bless You...and your mom!
Yes, indeed, I did get your other eMail with all the other info---- many thanks. Although I have not read the entire book yet, from what I have read I think that you have done a fabulous job of creating such an all-inclusive description of P.D.
I am still at the point where I am processing the fact that I have P.D., and your book is very helpful in answering all the questions that seem to pop into my head. I think that it is one of those lovely little miracles that happen in (my) life that I happened upon your website. You have done a wonderful service by compiling all that data and then making it available to the public in such an easy to read and understand format.
Thank you for all you have done to make this eBook possible!
With all the warmest regards to you,
YOUR BOOK IS AWESOME. I am recommending your book on the website as the best info on the web for PD.
I have received and downloaded everything you sent me. Thank you very much for coming into my life. I have already read your book and now have a better understanding the road I must now travel. May God bless you and yours.

Thanks Lianna, for keeping me posted on anything new. I purchased your book on line and it has been a wonderful resource. My husband has had PD for 4 years and he's 43. I use the book quite often. Thanks again for all your research and help!
Got your email and printed all the attachments. Thank you so much for taking the time to write and distribute this book it will help immensely. My mom is just starting this journey, and so it begins. Thanks so much.
Received your email the other day ,sorry I didn't get back to you before. Thank you very much for all the information ,you done a wonderful job on your book. It will help many as it will help me ,once again Thank you very much your friend from BC.
You are a woman after my own heart. I just wrote a letter to my Parkinsons Support Group -explaining that we must have Hope, and we do, because God is Hope. I choose to walk in the faith with my dad, that my Living God will never leave us nor forsake us. We are in this together...and God will bless you Lianna for your heart's work. You and your mom and family WILL Persevere. Praise God...He is good all the time.
Thanks to you Lianna.
We have looked for information for a year, since Mom was diagnosed, and I happened on your book when I was researching Sinemet for her. We are very anxious to read it and have Mom read it. I think that it will give her a lot of relief, as half of the problem is not understanding what she is to expect. So thank you again, and be well. We will let you know the results after we read your book and your tips. Be good to yourself!!
Thanks and talk to you soon,
I have received all your Emails and am busy reading the book. I have printed it and the two "tips" books, so that we can read them easily and refer to them at will. Many thanks for sending it all. I am so pleased to hear how you have helped your Mom over the years and I want to help my husband make the most of his years ahead.
Many thanks again.
I just downloaded your book and I can tell by what I'm reading as I download - you are the answer we have been looking for. So many questions and so few answers.
I feel that you have given us a new lease on life and I really need it desperately.
Thank you so much for your kindness!
Your book is wonderful and I think that it will make my Mother feel more secure knowing in "layman's terms" what to expect. And it will help us as her children to help her as it matures into an unforgiving situation for her. Thanks again for taking the time to help us in these times of need.
Be well and be good to yourself!!!
Lianna:- Thank you for caring. I will read the book and pass it on. The world needs people like you that take time to help others. God Bless you.
Thank you very much for the download which I have received and printed off and made into a book file for easy future reference also the two other books. The information is of great help and also a comfort to me and my wife. I thank you for all the research and work you put into this publication. It was obviously a labour of love and importance to you. Thank you and I hope you and yours have a happy and healthy year.
Thank you so much for writing this E-book! I am a home health aide with two clients who have Parkinson's-one in the early stages and one in the latter stage.
Looking forward to reading about your and mother's journey!
Lianna: I received your book and the questions. Looks very interesting. Have printed out and am reading now. You've done an amazing amount of work and research.
Thanks for your effort on our behalf.
Thank you, Lianna, I am delighted that my e-book arrived so quickly (almost instantly after my payment info went thru) and I have been so busy reading it and sharing the info with my father, just diagnosed, that I forgot to acknowledge my thankfulness. It is wonderful and I will recommend your book to anyone else I know who may have questions about PD. Thanks again
I received the book with no problems. It was and will be a big help. It is for one of my moms friends. His whole family was very happy to get the book. It told them more than the doctor.
We received your e-mail after having downloaded your e-book. (I am becoming so computer savvy!!) We appreciate all the wisdom, humor and information in your book. We look forward to the updates in treatment and research. Thanks for checking on us.
Just scanned thru your work and printed a good number to share with the Sisters. Our Parkinson's Support group has been meeting for a year and a half and has been very beneficial to all.......sharing 'symptoms' and what works or doesn't. They will be delighted with your info....Thanks.
Thank you for compiling and writing your book. The information will be helpful and encouraging as my parents and I are needing more information than our Doctor has been able to give us. I like the way you have arranged the book to answer questions. As I have already scanned the section about side effects for the medications!
Thank you too for your uplifting and cheerful way of presenting the material.
Have a wonderful day!
I was able to down load the adobe acrobat reader book you sent me.. thank you for your quick response. God bless you for wanting to help people like myself.
Thanks for the e book. I've just read through it and found it very useful. I think it is particularly useful for someone newly diagnosed. Thank you for all the effort you have put in to this.
I am gradually reading through your book which I printed off and find it extremely interesting, there are also a lot of tips I am picking up which I did not know, in particular the one about when the tablets do not work as well as at other times, due to the things you may have eaten previously. I had no idea this could have any effect on the medication, so thank you for all the tips you provide.
I have downloaded your book and the attachments and haves started reading them. Very enlightening thank you so much for this, I know it took a lot of effort on your part and I appreciate your candor and directness on the information.
Thank you for the summation and ease. I am a Hospice nurse now for 6 years with a foundation on preventative health, nutrition and pre med, and a degree in Biology. I am impressed what you have put together because I have been doing my own. Again thank you for making a book so concise and easy for a Parkinson's person to read. Good luck with your life as well.
Thank you for your excellent instructions for downloading your e-book. It's on my computer, and being a newly diagnosed PWP, I read it from e-cover to e-cover.
It was most enlightening and comforting.
