   My wife was just diagnosed with Parkinson's last Thursday and you more than anyone understands the flood of questions that came my way. The doctor had many patients waiting so not much time for our emotions. The doctor called me to join her in his office and after giving me a second to sit down, told us that in fact our suspicions of PD were right.

   Next he told us Colette would start her medication Friday morning and for her to do lots of walking and activities. She is booked for a CT scan this Saturday. That was pretty much it.

   When we got home, the search began and there you were. Your site was nothing short of a miracle in my mind.

   In the last six days we have been getting so many answers to our questions and through your book and other downloads you have made this week bearable and in our minds we felt like we were not alone. Through all your work and research and in sharing your mothers journey, we feel like we have a friend, a wonderful friend on our side. My wife turned 65 this October so our experience will be a little different but so much the same. The only thing she has trouble with so far is in brushing her teeth so, as your Mom suggested we will head out and get her an electric tooth brush.

   Hi Lianna,

   I have a father with PD, we think he has had it from 10-13 years. I too have done hours and hours of research on the topic. He too is quite positive, active and has a great outlook on life. I am looking at some alternative treatments- some patients have received remission from PD through these. This is not cutting out his medications altogether by any means. Just trying something new.

   I will share anything with you that may seem like important info. I AGREE! PD does not have to be this pathetic disease. We don't see it like that in our home. THat is why I think dad has stayed strong so long.

   Yes I received your e-book and the free items - thank you., they are excellent and very helpful now and in the future.

   My husband has Parkinson's he was diagnosed 7 years ago at 44 years old, at the moment he is undergoing tests for Deep Brain Stimulation because his medication is not working as well as it did. We will know in a few weeks if he is suitable and the operation should be end of August or early September. Obviously this is going to be a very stressful time for all the family and your book will be well read.
