Hi all,

Thanks for your kind replies to my azilect despair. I am feeling much better today, the numbness is gone. No more azilect for me.... No more Mirapex either, the compulsions are for real. I'm sticking with the Sinemet as long as it works.

Hang in their everyone.

She has suffered no side effects with the addition of the Azilect-in fact quite the reverse as prior to this she had been prescribed an increase in her Ropinirole which did cause side effects.
On the positive side recent medical evidence has shown Azilect as being the leading medication for delaying the onset speed of PD.
Lets hope that you are not one of few people who react negatively to Azilect-odds are that you shouldn't be .You should feel happy that you have been prescribed this medication as it appears that you should experience less need for medication increases than can occur with some PD medications.
Been taking azlect for 6yrs. shaking slightly more in right hand than I was 6yrs ago... Thats been the only simptom I've had from parkinson. Have never had any side effect from any meds.... my age now is 66 Hope this can be of some help
good luck.... Roger... Hope I did this format right but probably not sorry

Hi Mona47
hope you are on a good day
does your doctor not realise that no medication is a cure , it is to help PD people to try and get into remission, some to slow down things , and help give a better quality to life
