I cannot tolerate any anti-biotics because it reduces the effect of the sinemet to zero. In fact anti-biotics increase my tremor to alarming levels. In the first incident my doctor came to see me and the tremors were so high throughout my bod he took a blood test to check for malaria! If this happens to you STOP taking the anti-biotics immediately and inform your doctor. You may find that through trial and error there may be one or two antibiotics that suit you. In my case none have been found. Vitimin C is good.

Hi i'm currently on antibiotics but my Neurologist & GP are aware that it knocks my Parkers off if, I've got an infection. So I may as well have antibiotics that lasts a week which they know doesn't like each other. Then at least afterwards I know i'm fully infection free and firing on all cylinders.

Hi Heather, I cannot take any antibiotics but yes vitimin C does help your immune system against colds etc. I take extra care when going out in the winter and I do have the flu jab yearly. Hope you and your husband are having a good day.:)

I have edited my original comment on antibiotics which explains more fully why I cannot take them. I agree with your comments but it all depends on the severity of the reaction to ab's. Hope you are having a good day. Whey aye (did I spell that right?) :)

Hi Drew (are you a secret Geordie ) it's amazed me that you correctly spelt a Geordie saying. Now I know if we were to talk long enough we'd find out we were related !! I'm a true Geordie having been born in Newcastle upon Tyne but I live ten mile or so outside of the City. Due to the area that I live I'm now called a Sanddancer !! (Nowt as queer as folk)

I was born in Aberdour which sounds Welsh but is in fact in the Kingdom of Fife about 25 miles from St. Andrews but while in the RAF I had lots of mates from your part of the country Bonny Lass. I'm 62 and married to a wonderful Brummy girl so I'm multi-lingual! Elaine, the love of my life, gives me wonderful support and we laugh - a lot. "Ye canny whack it". Have a look in the Coffee Lounge thingy and it will give you some idea of how daft I am - it keeps me sane. Do I care what people think of me? Well, actually,......no! Elaine wants a tricycle so she's as daft as me. Seriously it helps, a lot. Sanddancer? You have me stumped there. Be well and don't let the b*ggers grind you down :)
