Baby Boomers
It was fun being a baby boomer...till now. Some of the artists of the
'60's are revising their hits with new lyrics to accommodate aging baby boomers.
They include:
Herman's Hermits - Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Walker
The Bee Gees - How Can You Mend a Broken Hip
Bobby Darin - Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' a Flash
Ringo Starr - I Get By With a Little Help from Depends
Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face
Johnny Nash - I Can't See Clearly Now
Paul Simon - Fifty Ways to Lose Your Liver
Commodores - Once, Twice, Three Times to the Bathroom
Marvin Gaye - I Heard it Through the GrapeNuts
Procol Harem - A Whiter Shade of Hair
Leo Sayer - You Make Me Feel Like Napping
The Temptations - Papa's Got a Kidney Stone
Abba - Denture Queen
Tony Orlando - Knock 3 Times on the Ceiling if you Hear Me Fall
Helen Reddy - I am Woman, Hear me Snore
Willie Nelson - On the Throne Again
Leslie Gore - It's My Procedure and I'll Cry if I Want To

Hello Pauline. Bet you have forgotten all about me, Heather (Tryphena),disappeared a while ago. Think it was mid January when I last chatted.
No real reason, having personal family problems, feeling fed-up with my PC which has been giving me trouble. The weather and general b........mindedness.
Do hope you are all keeping well, I am going to put a message on several threads to see who is about.
I have been keeping busy and simply have to ask if any of you have heard of The Alexander Technique, wonderful. I think i mentioned it before I closed down for a while. I go each week, and find walking easier, climbing stairs, my posture has improved, in fact general mobility is much better. Can't explain how but it seems to work.
Off to London, just for the day on Wednesday to see 'Oliver', breakfast on the train going and Dinner on the return trip, should be a good day out. Then Friday off to Goodworth Clatford, Nr Andover (Winchester) for 4 days to meet old friends, was best man at our wedding 46 years ago.
Grandchildren are still doing well, academically and sportingly, having a great time.
My regards to you all, just off to find myself some dinner.

What A LOVELY WELCOME, ALL THE FAMILIAR NAMES. sorry about capitols.
Talking about stories, a sad but funny now its over one.
this will be very much abbreviated. Went away for a weekend with husband and friend, should have been her partner as well but he was taken ill, as she was taking 3 grandhildren he insisted she went. as he was on the mend and coming out of hospital the following week she came. Breakfast on sunday a message he had died during the night. i then took her home whilst Mike was supposed to drive her Merc with the 3 kiddies. Sadly he dropped the keys in the boot and that was that. We had to make all sorts of arrangements to get everyone home, luckily only about 1 and a quarter hours journey. We then could not find the spare key so arrangements were made to get a new one. cost: £178!!! The following week we had to drive back to The Trefeddian and collect the car.
I thought a great deal of Cyril and agreed to write and read an item on things he had done etc. I spoke for 8 minutes and felt very chuffed as the Church was packed with the service being relayed outside he was an important business man in the area hence the crowds. I am alwys being told, no stress but I felt someone had to tell about the other side of his character, most people did not know this side of him, he was a lovely man.
Will tell you about my new mdication regime, seems to be doing me good, feel much better and movements are very much improved.
Hope you are all well, news please. regards to all, Heather(Try[phena)
