Since being diagnoised 7 years ago, I have suddenlt started to sleep very deeply. Sometimes my husband has a hard time waking me and it can take a good half hour or so. I am tired all the time and feel that I am sleeping half my life away. My consultant whats me to see a psychiatrist and says its probably depression, but I don't feel depressed at all. All my friends agree with this and some of them work in the field of mental health. My medication is stable and I am well adjusted to it.
I know that everybody's Parkinsons can be different, but has anybody experienced this at all?

but It could be you have been doing to much, and it's your bodies way of saying slow down
also have you been tested for anaemia, this was one of Jim's problems, and it was soon sorted out

Hi Glenchess
I have PD 15yrs, diagnosed 10 yrs. I have the opposite problem to you, for instance last night i never slept until 4.45 this am. so i think you are lucky to be able to sleep. I am so so tired, i would give anything for a good nights sleep.
Maybe its some of the med's you are on that are sending you into a deep sleep.

Hi Friend Pauline
I still have the RLS, I am due back to my neurologist on 16th March so hopefully he will do something for the RL. My medication is Stalevo 100mg 4 times a day, Half Sinemet one in the morning and one at night, Eldepryl 5mg once a day, Requip (3 slow release) in the morning, the Neuro Patch every 24 hrs.
As you said maybe it is the sinemet at night that is preventing me from sleeping. will let you know how i get on at my next visit to neurologist.
God Bless

Patsy
Good luck on your next visit to your specialist I hope they can get your RLS under control sometimes I think it is worse than the PD it self if you can ask about the Mirapex for your RLS, it has really helped me your friend Pauline :):):)

Pauline.
I certainly will be asking the specialist about Mirapex.
This might be a silly question, and maybe i am a bit dim, how do you get Photobucket up and running,? i am curious, and it has me baffled.
Regards
