I have a question about the medication I am on and the side effects - I hope someone can help me. I have been recently diag. and have been put on Mirapex - 3x day (.5 mg). I have only been on the lower dosage and just now started the regular dosage. My question is this.....my left hand is now hurting. It feels like it has been injured (hurts really bad when I bend my wrist). All my symptoms started out in my right hand/arm/shoulder. Is my left hand hurting a result of the medicine being introduced into my body or is the PD just spreading? I am very concerned as I am left handed. At least when I started having the tremors and the weakness in my right hand, I could use my other hand. Now it feels as if it has moved to the other side. I didn't know what you are suppose to feel when you first start out taking medicine for PD. I would appreciate anyone's input

Hi Kellhug,

Tis Ltd again,
Your left side is hurting in particular your wrist because your using it instead of including it. Im going to write about Conductive education which will help I hope. You must continue to use your affected side otherwise you put strain on to your unaffected side . Bare with me until I start a new thread for you to read about C.E.

HI

ive posted conductive Education on medicines and treatments for you to read

keep using your affected side for your muscles have their own memory and you start using your affected side instinctively instead of thinking about getting a signal through (Which on a good day is like a cappachino machine !)

keep smiling and having a good belly laugh helps your Parkers to calm down

I have had Parkinson's since 1998 and have tried several treatments and I still have right hand tremor (very active). I have tried Glutathione "push injections" (3 treatments), the doctor stated "if no improvement after 3, we would stop. I have taken Mirapex 1mg 3xdaily and it caused stomach pain. I have used the patch until it was recalled (it helped more than anything else so far). I am now on Requip 4mg 1xdaily and it has not helped with tremor, although I do not have any side effects. I take Q10 and multi-vitamins. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Stone
