[I]Hi everyone, I was diagnosed in 2007 as having essential tremors. In Nov. 2008 I fell down steps while at my primary doctor's office. My tremors got worse after that and I was put on Primadone. Now I have a new neuro. doctor and he says I have PD and he has prescribed Amantadine 100 mgs 3 x a day plus Carb[idopa-Levo 3 x a day. I have just begun these new meds. and wonder what side effects I will get. I have tremors in my left hand and cannot lift my right hand higher than my right shoulder without it shaking so use both hands if I drink a glass of water. I usually end up spilling it anyway. I have trouble typing, using the phone as I can't hold the phone still to my ear. Then there are the problems putting on makeup, curling my hair etc so have to let my daughter do that. I also have double vision intermittently and the orthomologist says he cannot do surgery for cataracts as the eye problem is due to a nerve problem and it would likely make my eyes worse. Does anyone have this problem besides PD? By the way I am 84 and have no other health problems thank goodness. Really helpful to read the uplifting comments from everyone. June:
