Hi Heather,
Thanks for doing that for me. Have discovered that I was not allowed to post attachments on forum. Contacted Lianna and she has altered command.
Thanks also to all who have commented on the garden. You are ALL invited to a BBQ whenever you like but please not ALL at the same time!
There is a train set in the summer house as well! 00 guage with Flying Scotsman (what else could it be!). We have lights all over the garden - 240v and solar. I forgot to put a picture of the second water feature which is a globe with top cascading water and an led which lights up at night.
To save us digging a great big hole we have left the reservoir for the water above ground and covered the sides with a log roll which matches the flower bed edges. I'll stop ranting on now but I think you get the idea that we love our garden which we created from scratch completed 2 years ago after 3 years work (I was in better shape then). Very low maintenance - no grass just 3 tons of Cotswold stone 15 foot diameter stone plinth and flower beds almost all round.
The roses growing up the arch on both sides are "Zephryn Drouhin" which is thornless and gives off a wonderful scent. The white clematis is "Wedding Day" and was a present on our wedding.
Now I've got the go ahead to post attachments I'l put a few of our wedding - been married 3 1/2 years to my soulmate ELaine.
Hope you all managed to stay awake reading this tome but for now, God Bless especially my friend Heather,
Drew

Hi Drew
it was my pleasure
So how do you post attachments on hear , i have only ever done
photobucket ,it maybe easier for others
if you have a few hours to spare, i think you could jump on a train, and come and sort my garden out :D
I don't have lawn, and waiting for my brother to come and put me a out side electric plug, so i can have a nice waterfall, where
nothing will grow, due to a neighbour's high conifers :mad:
Jim had a greenhouse, when he retired, and i have just started using it again this summer, and did 4 hanging and 2 wall baskets,
and filled all the plant pot's, but compare to yours ours is a postage stamp in size
off to look for your other pictures, give my love to Elaine

I love this group. You turn everything into a party. We took a hot air balloon to the chocolate party, how are we getting to Drews so we can get a closer look at that garden?

Reference the conifers - if it is stopping light coming into your garden have a word with the local Council and they may instruct your neighbor to cut them down to a reasonable level

They must be about 12ft or more high , she cut her side back
but mine are covering the garden so no sun or water, when we had snow, i only had 1/2 a garden :)

Have you got cruise control on your car? Elaine uses it all the time to keep within the speed limit imposed. That and tomtom to warn us of gatsos we both have clean driving licenses. Don't you just hate goody goodies! Don't blame me Elaine is the brains of our outfit!

You need a gardener with attitude - an Arnie - rip into it with the warning "I'll be back!" if it starts getting out of hand again. I've seen the day when I could have done it for you but these days are long gone. Conifers are the weeds of the tree world. growing at least 3 feet/year. Flamethrowers come to mind!

Hi Drew
Good Elaine, so don't forgethttp://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/maesisaf/obey2.gif
up to 2 years ago i had a 38years clean licence
Because i go from house to house in a 5miles radius, it's not possible to set the tom tom ,and also not all areas around hear are registered. I keep saying im going to get a Angel ,my brother has one, and they do register well
I have a converted expert van to take Jim's chair, so no cruse control
I tried being a goody goody, didn' last for long

Susan, size does not matter. It's all about what you put into it and what you get out of it. Your garden is obviously well tended and loved plus unlike our garden it is child friendly. I have been to Maryport. From memory quite hilly but a great sea front and views over the Solway Firth. Nice pictures by the way.
Because my eyesight leaves a bit to be desired I blew your pics up on my PC for a better look. There is a dog there! Lights around the garden (I think lights are essential to bring it alive at night). I see you have a line of washing with a prop. Elaine says that is one of her favourite sights - a line of washing blowing in a good wind. We had a whirly gig drying thingy but Elaine got rid of that and we now have 2 lines for washing.
I expect that wall gives you protection against the prevailing wind. I bet you do enjoy your garden and so you should. Well done on getting the photos on as well - not that easy!
