Hi,
I do not have EDS but I know someone who has narcolepsy, which I believe is the same thing. He was diagnosed in a sleep disorder clinic. At first they put him on an ampethamine type drug, which made him "wired". He is now on Povigil, which is a non ampethamine drug of choice.
Do you have mild, moderate, or severe EDS?
Good Luck

Hi, I think my father has eds. He sleeps constantly during the day. One minute he is holding a conversation with you and the next he is in a deep sleep. Is that eds?
God bless

my husband cannot sleep through the night because of pain in his hip and frequency of going to the toilet. Then, he cannot stay awake during the daytime. Our psychologist recommended Provigil, and our GP prescribed it. He takes it about an hour or so before any event which he needs to be awake for. It really works, and we call it his "wide awake pill".

p.s. our psychologist said he give it to his teenage children whenever they are going to be driving long distances (to and from college).
