Hi Pauline,

It'll have to sink into my head too. I've been trying and trying and have the guidelines right here next to me and I still don't get it. We're probably just one step away from posting a little picture...

Keep trying Pauline, so will I. I still have to try to get an e-mail to you successfully. Don't give up on me.

Dear Heather,

I'm a day late for Saturday...but I can hope that everyone is having a good Sunday.

Been off the forum for a bit. Tony took a bad fall. Thank God he didn't get hurt or break anything. But it scared the H*** out of the three of us. He's ok. He was rushing to do something and before he knew it he fell, hit his head and landed hard on the tile floor in the kitchen. The first thing he said...don't worry, I'm ok...I have to learn to do what the doctors tell me...take it slow.

But he was always so well coordinated and fast on his feet. A lifetime of being one way and then PD comes to visit and you have to learn a whole new way of life and set of rules. But WE CAN DO IT ALL :):):) with the help of God.

Heather, I am cathcing up on reading/answering the posts and quotes I have received. Please be patient. Thanks!:)

With love,

Margie

Hi Diane

Hope you are well
i thought it would be nice to say hello etc
even if we don't have time etc, to post anything else

what's your time difference from the UK, I no U.S.A. are behind us,and Australia is about 8-12 hours ahead of us, no Idea what time difference is in Canada :(

Diane
May 19th, 2008, 07:31 AM
I think I am 6 hours behind you. It is now 10:30 in USA, central time. USA has four time zones in the "lower 48". Going east to west from Washington DC, we would be 5, 6, 7 and 8 hours behind London.

By the way, Heather, you probably already know this, but the "post time" on this forum is shown as my time. Your last post on this thread is shown as posted at 9:37 am.

Canada has the same four time zones as USA, so time depends on where a person is, within Canada.

Hi Pauline,

Tony is doing just a pinch better. The fall really got to him.

We are going to see his neurologist this coming Friday. I'm so glad. It's always a relief after we have seen this doctor. We can tell him everything and we can ask questions that we are concerned about.

Thank you so much for being you :).

Talk with you soon again.

Hi Heather,

Another day is coming to a close. Thanks for your lovely messages of support.

Mom only gave up the nursing about 15 months ago, but it is like riding a bike, you never forget but as with any profession or job, modern elements change and day by day progress is made and new developments occur. Perhaps she feels removed from it now.

Hope all goes well for Jim with the Diazepan, best wishes and thinking of you both.
God bless Karen

Hi Karen

hope you and mum is well

"modern elements change and day by day progress is made and new developments occur. " Not always for the best,i bet mum like me gets very frustrated with the "new care giving"
it's all politics and money, as we learnt, the true meaning of patient and family care
give her my love, and tell her we will have to exchange stories some time

Hi Heather,

It's 6:04 AM Saturday morning and I still can't relax enough to go to sleep. Been up all night. Will go downstairs in a little while and try to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs on the sofa before Tony gets up.

These nights hit me every once in awhile and all I can do is stay awake and use the time well.

I just feel that the Diazapam is going to do much good for Jim. We'll pray together.

Love,

Morning, it's bank holiday Monday.
Found the letter I just posted, feel quite pleased I pushed the
right buttons.
you all sound as if you have been chatting for years, I feel I am joining, if you will have me a group of old friends, still I guess because we are all involved with Mr Parky one way or another that helps, it really is great having people who can understand the frustrations etc. People generally do not like illnesss do they. I try not to mention it but do wince now and again when getting up! Involuntarily.
Chilly and windy in my corner of Wales but the blackbirds are singing, a well as shouting at each other, fighting over a lady no doubt! Bye for now, have a good one. Heather(prill)

Hi Bruce
This is a link to Wrexham, and surrounding area, I live about 4 miles away,in a village called Johnstown, the village of Ruabon, is the next village to me where i grew up in from the age of 9 years,
www.wrecsam.com/ · Cached

for some reason the below link doesn't work very well, but it gives you a idea of where i am

http://www.johnstown2000.co.uk/,

Froncysyllte is where i was born, and now we have a famous male voice choir:)

These are all , the villages next to me
Acrefair , Cefn-Mawr , Chirk , Gyfelia, Johnstown (Wrexham) , Overton on Dee , Penycae, Rhosllanerchrugog , Rhostyllen , Rhosymedre , Ruabon ,

so if you want to do some googling
If ever you came to Wales,i would stamp your passport to come and visit :D

why did i think you lived in the UK Bruce?
so can you Educate me on where you live, please
Take care

Good night everyone catch you tomorrow

Thanks Heather for thinking of all of us...and for the beautiful picture.

Am very tired. Last few days not too good with Tony. His legs are really bad. He still won't use a cane. We have two but they are collecting dust. Won't do his exercises...says there isn't enough time to do them...maybe tomorrow. He procrastenates all the time. Guess I am just a bit down because Tony just won't use the aids or do the few exercises that would help him. Whatever the reason...pride, fear, stubborness, denial (although he acknowledges he has PD he won't talk about it)...I just want to scream (but I haven't and probably won't) That's all folks! Thanks for listening. I'm just, as I said, very tired and a bit down.

Love,
Margie

Hi Margie
So sorry things are not so good
It's bossy Heather hear, I'm saying this because i have been where you are, as as you no i always say this is what worked for me,

do me a favour go in the garden and scream, scream, scream
Then go in, make a hot cup tea/coffee, put you feet up. put something on the TV you like. and will make you laugh,or read a book

I think it's time for you to think of you.

It will be hard what i'm going to say now. but I say it as a friend, Let your 2 men make up there own minds what they are going to do, and when.

I did all the above, and when Jim said he couldn't/I new he could or he said not now i just said fine and walked away
It is a kind of attention seeking, and i mean that in a nice way, this is PD and depression

So my friend, be good to you time

hi Pauline
I no i'm bossy:):), my heart goes out to Margie and others
as i no what it's like to want to give and do all and try to be the strong one, but it doesn't always work, i found i became very down and very lonely, as i didn't want any one to think i wasn't coping, and didn't want Jim to feel bad, but once i became honest with him, and told him straight, and gave him choices, and stood by what his choice was, he found out it didn't work, and started doing what i asked , but like once again i say this is what worked with us, like you said it all takes time, but what we must remember is " time and tide waits for no man "
I feel what is going on in the individuals life, they have to stand back, think about it, and try to come to a compromise, that doesn't affect each others health, I believe we can easily give in to illness, and let it win/take over our lives , empathy is fine but sympathy to us is a no no

Hi Margie,
I hope you are feeling better. It's very tough watching someone you love struggle when they really don't have to. As someone else said it's all part of the parkinsons. It really does change people's personalities. When my dad plays up I just go out of my way to let him know that I love him and accept him no matter what his form his, but I also let him know I feel he's being unreasonable. Between this and a lot of prayer usually common sense wins through in the end. I will keep you and Tony in my prayers.
God bless
Geraldine

Take careHi, I live in the state of West Virginia. I t is near Virginia.Maryland, Washington DC. Iit is a very hilly state. It is a small state. Agriculture, oil and gas, coal mining are main industry. I live in the capitol city of CHARLESTON. Our state has the nickname of little Switzerland. My home is on the Kanawha River (beautiful setting) in what is called the historical east end. We can walk downtown ,which is very nice. We take walks along the river. My grandson loves the river. The traintracks are on the other side of the river, and he loves the trains. Much of our state is rural. Many beautiful places to visit for natural beauty. Hope you have an idea. bruce

Hi Bruce
thank you
sounds so lovely where you live, and such a lovely place to go walking with your Grandson
Most of our lovely walks have been lost for housing estates,
we say if it's the size of a postage start they will build a house.
Because we are on the edge of a motorway, a lot of people from England have moved in, it's about 1-1.30 hour to all the big cities, so they don't mind travelling back and to to work, and buying holiday homes. The Manchester Airport is only 45 min away,as before would take about 2-3hours

The way it is layed out is not too bad. We are very happy here. There is a cultural center just a few blocks away. Lot of different events there. I do not go very often hard to sit for long periods and I tire very quickly. But am glad to have the opportunities available. My roses are ready for 2nd blooming, climbing roses are blooming now. The heat is very bad now. We are in the 90's each day with high humidity. I do not do well in extreme heat or extreme cold. Have you ever heard of pd patients having this problem? Hope to hear from you soon, bruce

Hi Bruce
Hope you and your family are all well
We have a leisure centre 2 villages away, with a swimming complex in it
Sounds like you would enjoy our summer weather in the UK
never gets hot, and if it does , it doesn't last for long, this morning was very sunny, but by 3PM very cool, that's when i try to get in the garden, the winters are wet and cold, but not as bad as they where about 10years ago
I haven't had much first hand experience with PD, but Jim always got tired ,in the summer more than winter, he liked the sun, but always felt better in the spring and Autumn.
Have you any pictures of your roses, they sound lovely, My climbing roses got blew down in the wind, and i haven't replaced them yet, everything is so slow this year, when/ if my hanging baskets, ever bloom nice, i will take some pictures
Wont be long till your wife retires, bet you are counting the days , are you celebrating ?
Take care, and rest when you have to,look forward to chatting soon

P.s I think you are the first teacher i have met that doesn'twant to correct my spelling etc :D:D:D

Hi Bruce,

Good for you--being determined to see your wife retire. I just know you are going to be there at her party. Of course, you will be so much better when she is home with you.

I'm glad that you were able to tell your daughter that she and her boyfriend and granddaughter had to find another place to live. As we've spoken before...stress is not good for a Parkie. You'll see that it is the best solution when your wife retires both of you will be able enjoy the peace and quiet and plan the day the way you want to. Your daughter, boyfriend and daughter will appreciate it too in the long run.

I am so sorry to hear that your wife will need major surgery in June. Will keep her and you in my prayers. She will be fine. She has you to come home to :).

Read that you are planning a trip to Florida before your wife's surgery. Enjoy your vacation together and come back rested.

Hang in there. Everything is going to work out fine.

Sincerely,

Margie :)

Good Morning from Texas. We had a perfect weekend, with a festival in our small town. "Paint Out Historic Waxahachie". Local artists enter a contest to paint outdoors for a week, choosing subjects like historic houses, our beautiful courthouse, our wonderful feed store, the farmers Saturday market, etc. The art is then displayed and offered for sale Friday evening through Sunday in our Chatauqua Auditorium. Meanwhile, a crafts fair is set up in the city park surrounding the Chatauqua. One artist did an 8x10 painting of my next-door neighbor's house in watercolor, and I was able to buy it for her for a gift. At the craft fair, I discovered a local company (two men and their families) which roasts coffee and delivers fresh roasted and ground beans in our town! What a wonderful new enterprise. The fragrance coming from their booth at the fair was irresistable!

Hi Pauline,

Don't give up on posting. It will come to you. I found that I tried so hard to post something on the Forum that my mind went completely blank each time I tried. I stopped (gave up really) but then one night when I couldn't sleep I sat there and made mistake after mistake. And all of a sudden, with all the help from Heather and ltd_addition...it happened! I got my first post through.

Now, you'll laugh at this...after I got my first post through...I couldn't repeat the process until almost two weeks later.

Stay with it...I know you can do it and we have great teachers.

Hi All,
Well today has been a bad and a good day. Father was admitted into hospital last night due to the problems he has been having with his bowels. His stomache was very distended and I became concerned and phoned the gp. The gp had a look at him and refered him to the hospital. Xrays showed that his volvulus (this has happened him before) needs straightened. They are going to do this with a camera tomorrow morning.
What made it a good day is the fact that the staff on the ward listened to all I had to say about his parkinsons and the problems it causes him. I took a leaf out of Heather's book and told them that i would be happy to stay and look after his needs if they didn't have the time. The way it was left was the staff would see how they managed today and if there were any problems they would phone me and I would take over. I have been in and out of the hospital three times today and the staff have been brilliant. They are so bright and cheery. Nothing is too much trouble. I just hope it stays this way and that the staff don't change until my father comes home. The only problem was that it took 6 hours for him to get admitted and in that time he missed out on some medication. There was no Madopar available in the hospital. That has since been remedied and he is getting his tablets spot on time. For the first time ever, I saw my father really relaxed and in quite good form in hospital.
I tell you, there certainly is a God!
That's all those prayers.
God bless
Geraldine

Hi Geraldine
so sorry to hear about dad, but good to hear that they are listening to you , and willing for the only person that knows how to take of dad to take care of him, i no it doesn't give you a break, but you wouldn't settle at home, wondering what is happening, now when you go home at least you rest
Geraldine,i always make a point of taking Jim's tablets in with me,as once the doctor has done the script on the ward, a pharmacist, has to come to check Jim, before he sends the script up, so it can be the next day. I inform them i will give and be held responsible for giving him them, until he gets the wards supple, a staff nurse once said i couldn't, but i gave them, and signed his notes, as having full power of attorney, for Jim no one can stop me, as long as i sign to say im being responsible
Do you have power of attorney for dad

Take care keep us up dated on dad's progress

Geraldine, will this also be the trip to hospital in which they change his meds? Or must you take care of this volvulus issue and then come back to hospital later for the meds?

We are all so happy to hear your Dad is doing so well in hospital. I know it was a huge worry whether he would take well to it after all he went through last time.

Hi Dianne,
I am afraid he will have to go to another hospital to have his medication changed. The only thing is I won't say he is enjoying being in hospital, but his experience this time is a lot pleasanter.
I spent a good bit of today with him in the hospital and I found the staff to be very efficient but sociable and cheery. Even though it is a surgical ward and they are worked off their feet the place is full of laughter and fun. Not only that, nothing is too much trouble for them.
My father is not really in form to join in the chat, but he is a lot less stressed than whilst in the hospital in the past.
We have been told that it will be September or October before my father will be admitted to neurology to have his medications change.
God is good, you wouldn't know what could happen between now and then.
God bless
Geraldine

Good Morning everyone. this is a 'have a good day to you all' call from Heather(Prill), have been away for a few days, not literally, just took a hefty fall on my rear end and have been unable to sit stand or lie in comfort. Think I mentioned it, however, have now had X -rays and are awaiting results. Curbed my activities somewhat, but still off to Chester this afternoon. will shout hello Heather, as we pass your road.
Managed to cope on my Coffee Morning, had a real crowd, didn't think they would get in. Bara Brith, Scones, Fruit cake and biscuits. Guessed the name of the dog, had a raffle, 15 prizes! Plus a Lotto Game, everyone seemed to go away with something, well fed, well watered, well chatted, gossip exchanged and we raised over £150.00 to be shared between Air Ambulance and Parkinsons. Delighted. Also made some new friends. I was given a lovely doll, which had a sign saying "ARRIVE AS STRANGERS, LEAVE AS FRIENDS". Don't you agree that is a great sentiment.
Will now spend a few minutes reading through your letters. I never know where to go to look for replies, (if any). I look at New Threads, or follow up on a regular. still find it very therapeutic. I would just love to know more about how the medication works, I am falling about all over the place, mainly 'tottering' backwards, quite scarey. still we carry on.
Have a lovely weekend, I might pop up somewhere else who knows!!! Heather(P)

hi geraldine, how is your dad have just read your post hope he is well and you are to take care susan.

Hi Susan,
Thank you for your concen. My dad came home from hospital last night. At the minute he is sprawled out in his arm chair sleeping. You couldn't anger him. He just hates hospitals, though I do have to say the staff this time were brilliant. He couldn't complain at all. He got all his medication on time and if he as much as coughed they were right over to him. Not only that, they were all very cheery and full of fun.
His problem hasn't been solved and can't be solved. He needs part of his colon removed and this will only be done in a life threatening situation. We are just going to have to be very careful and keep watch for his stomache swelling. This is the sign that the volvulus has twisted. The other sign is severe stomache pain which my dad never has. I don't know whether the Parkinsons pain masks it, or whether he has refered pain.
God bless
Geraldine

Hello everyone, like everyone else I come on my PC to do some work, think I will just take a quick peek at the Forum and end up reading lots of interesting items.
Had my 90 year old Aunt for lunch yesterday (can never say that line without thinking of Hannibal Lector. hope you know who I mean), had to show off our new house, well new to her, had a great day with the sun shining brightly, she is a wonder woman, lives on her own does all her own cooking, cleaning etc. very fit. In the genes I guess.
Did not buy my Chocolate cake after all, decided it would just prove me a 'greedy piggy'. Had a kitkat instead!
falling about all over the place, don't know if it was the fall but very unsteady on my feet, no alcohol involved! could be medication, wish I knew what these pills do to one, we have to believe our Doctors, so hope they know what they are doing.
Well time to water my hanging baskets, pots etc before the sun comes round.
Have a good day. Heather (P)

Gail.
Sorry about Hannibal, didn't you just love the line "I am having a friend for lunch" whilst watching that odious Prison Governor. I watched that film on my own at 1 am. all the lights went on when I finally went to bed!!
I have bought the cake, well lack of willpower is one of my many failings. Plus some very luscious chocolate eclairs, The wine ordered by my husband Mike arrived this morning, (well I bought him an extra large storage rack on the condition he kept it full, or thereabouts. Glad to say he obliges.) So people, ready to start when you are.
I have run off the instructions from Suzie Q re pictures, I must learn. I wanted to put my email address on my information sheet but do not know how to get back into it. Although wonder if it is a good idea. Will look if any of you have given yours. Well I am just a 'learner'.

Hi Heather,

Whatever you do have a good time!

I have a feeling you will be looking to get a dog for Jim. They are wonderful companions, as you already know. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn88/Bronx628Margie/puppy.gif

Enjoy your grandsons...I know they enjoy being with you and Jim.

Have a good weekend.

Pauline: from Heather (Prill) Sun.20 July.1817. think we should have days or dates on these threads, I don't know when some of the posts were sent, very confusing, could be my age or the dreaded Parkies, no its definitely my age, always been a bit scatter brained. You would not believe the 'jobs', I have had over the years, even worked for the..., whoops, sorry, as they say, "if I told you I would have to kill you!!", still maybe as my husband says, I am a good con-artist.
I think maybe I am a little weird, I never go to bed before midnight, usually go to sleep IMMEDIATELY. wake up at 0445 hrs, get up between 0500 and 0530 hrs every morning, my favourite time is between 0500 hrs and 0900 hrs, some days I have a nap, half to 1 hr, and I seem to thrive on it. However, every so often, maybe once every 6 weeks, my body says - thats enough and I have to go to bed, and can sleep for a 10 hrs stretch. Very strange, but it works for me.
I think we all have to live the life that suits us, I keep very quiet and try not to disturb Mike, and he seems to understand that I can't just stay in bed, and having given me strict orders, "no moving furniture or climbing ladders" he just lets me get on with things.
My recliner chair, the TV, or music at anytime of the day or night, seems to give comfort.
Take care of yourself, indeed all of you, keep up the good work.

Monday.21/7. Hello Canada. Lovely to get such a quick reply.Only logged on for a couple of minutes to pick-up e-mails and couldn't resist a peek!
Like you I love my PC, especially in the early hours. i have a Study, nothing grand, we have a 4 bed renovated cottage in a small Welsh Village. was a two-up. 2-down in 1928 when it was built. My srtudy is a small bedroom, recliner chair, TV and my Work Station, sounds grand. My view is across to The Breiddon Hills, lovely, which has a monument known as Rodney's Pillar, to signify the nations gratitude to Lord Rodney for supplying so much of the timber which helped build the ships which defeated the Spanish Armada so many years ago. You probably did not wish to now that but history lesson over for the day.
Having a quiet day to-day getting things ready for our 7 year old Grandson Aaron who is coming to stay for a week, then we take him back and have his 4 year old brother for 5 days while his Mother & Father - my son, go off to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary and get involved in some Charity Climb over the mountains in Scotland. exhausting for them and us, I hope I survive. Being serious though it is great fun to have them and the older one is golf mad so I lose husband and grandchild for most of the day.
Have a good day, nice to be in touch, tell me a little about yourself please.

Hi Pauline, 1700 hrs Mon. When you get fed up with this, just stop.
Had a good day so far, up early as usual, made a few cards on my PC, and answered a few emails, watered hanging baskets etc.
Had to go and see a friend-cum-electrician, who did a few wiring jobs for us when we moved into this house last November, what a trauma that was, another story altogether.
Alan moved lights for us and never gave us an account, no matter how often we asked, finally got one and paid at once, wife asked me in for a coffee, well I had to accept or be thought rude! Got home to answer/machine message from Muriel who was the last, and only person to have lived in Orchard House before us, she invited herself round for an afternoon cup of tea (so English!) to show me pictures of the house from 1930 onwards, fascinating. As you will gather from the name it was surrounded by fruit trees, looked lovely, pear trees and cherry trees with masses of blossoms.
Your house sounds great, I do love a view, you have a great sounding family and seem to be coping well. I was diagnosed in 2002 but also know it all started in the late 1990s when we were living in Germany. It was only when the shaking/tremors got worse that I saw first a Doctor, then Neurologist and that was that. The best remark made at the time was "well only certain thing is you won't die from it but you will die with it". No-one knew anything about it at the time, I made it my business to find out. I joined the PDS Association, and receive a quarterly newsletter, which I find very informative, not as much as this forum, or Lianne's book, but has some good articles. i have also donated my brain or whatever they want for Research, as have my husband and Son. Mind you I don't want them to have it for a long time yet!
I am 73, was a civil servant for most of my life, however last 13 years were as Secretary to the Shropshire Federation of Women's Institutes, a wonderful job to have, we had over 9,000 members and although hard work it was most rewarding. My husband was in the British Army, serving in Malaya, Singapore, Nepal, Germany and UK. we have just celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary, and they said it wouldn't last......
Enough for now, it is time I made a start on Mike's meal, he has just got home after a day on the golf course, he is delighted as he came second, having won his last two Comps, so still playing well. Feeling a bit exhausted so will stop. Hope to speak again soon. Best regards for continued good health. VBW. Heather(Prill)

From Heather (P). Quote: " Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people become friends and stay awhile, leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts, and we are never quite the same because we have made a new friend."
Good to hear from you. have my 7 yo grandson Aaron with us for a few days, off to a local Castle, well it was once, a bit battered, has the gatehouse, plus drawbridge, and an old tower with turret, all been 'repaired',( made safe,) is fun for the kids. then off to the Driving Range for his daily golf practice.
Have a lovely time away, sounds a glorious site. Will look forward to your 'holiday tales' on your return. Heather (P)

Hi Sue,

I just wrote you a post but it got lost somewhere. i had gotten sent back to "you are not logged in..." and had to log in four more times. I hope this goes through.

Thanks so much for asking about me. I have been laid up with a severe back pain which one doctor says is severe sciatica and another doctor suspects a herniated disk. I have been given muscle relaxers to take for a week, stretching exercises and a cortison injection. I am to call the doctor that gave me the injection and prescription next week to tell him how i am doing and to get another injection. The pain is so severe in the morning when i get out of bed that i have fallen several times. Thank goodness we have carpeting on our bedroom floor. The use of a cane is coming in quite handy. I have been resting a lot and haven't been on the computer. Can't type much more right now...but do miss talking with you.

I hope you are on some really good days and continue to do so.

Keep smiling with me...so we will add a little sunshine to each other's lives my friend.

Good morning all, Heather (Prill) here, 7 am 26/7. Have you found Heather senior? As I said once before, I am never certain as to how long the threads have been here so don't know how long she has been off-line or how long you have had broken bones and flu etc. sorry to hear so many of you are having probems, in addition to the usual ones I mean.
We do seem more susceptible to germs and falls etc don't we.

I have the second stage of my 'grandson sitting' with me, to clarify that, we had No.1 Aaron (age 7) from Mon to Friday, and swopped him yesterday for his 3 year old brother Nathan until Tuesday next week. As ex-military you would think we would have learnt 'never volunteer for anything', they are great fun most of the time, but it means I cann't just sit down when I feel like it. which sadly I do often these days.
Still the sun is shining, I am able to sit and contact you, who I now consider friends, so keep smiling, things could be worse, I think. have a great weekend. Heather(P)

Morning Pauline, so sorry, just went back through threads and found 210, you! didn't reaise you were one of the 'walking wounded'.
So sorry to hear about your aborted trip, and it sounded such a lovely place.
If you have read my last thread I won't repeat myself, except to say we had fun with Aaron, now have Nathan (3 yo) who is having a lie-in, normally up at 5.30 but has left me to it this morning, so thought I would see who was up and about at The Forum. Off to the Park to-day, sun is shining, feeling exhausted but no real rest until Junior goes home on Tuesday, still we love them don't we.
You are not being ungrateful wishing to be left alone, I always think of cats, very independent creatures, no I don't have one now, (last one died aged 14, had her from a kitten) who like to be left alone to recover if they are unwell, I feel thats me, if I want help I will shout, but people, who probably feel the same when they are ill, never seem to accept this fact, still as you say, they mean well. Just keep smiling, and remember the broken bones will heal. Will be thinking of you. Will look through threads next time before I rattle off, you must think I was most uncaring, but have hardly logged on for 3 days. take it easy. Heather(P)

Now Sunday 27/7. 8.15 am
No-one seems to have been back here so I will try and make contact on the next thread, I am obviously not too bright at finding my way around this Forum, but love reading all the threads on 'my travels'.
It would appear Heather has re-surfaced. great.

Welcome back Heather sn. Have passed a few times but no answering 'hello'.
My PC has also been acting up and my son had to spend 4 hrs on it. Still a bit troublesome but at least it is working reasonably again. They are great when they are working but a complete drag when they are not.
Poor Pauline seems to have been in the wars, hope she is coping okay.
My youngest grandson returns home this evening, 10 days with the two little ones (not both together) has proved very tiring, but great fun, the heat hasn't helped, I prefer 15 to 25 degrees!! Playing football and tennis has been hard on Mike but he has coped, he deserves his day off tomorrow, golfing, but seems it might rain on him, oh well, maybe it will wait until Wed.
Hope you all have a good week.

From Tryphena(HeatherW) - Hi Heather, good to hear from you again, I still shout 'hello' when I pass your turning on the Way to Chester, have not felt any return vibes though! Hope your problems are being sorted. we will be passing tomorrow.no to-day now. Sunday 12.50 am.

My best wishes to everyone. Hope you all had a good Christmas, with family and or friends, hope too many of you were not alone. Prayers were said for everyone but a friendly face and a few words do help so much more.

We spent the day with life-long (48 years) friends, and although she was only let out of the Orthopaedic Hosp for 6 hours, she is confined to a wheel-chair, quite poorly, her husband had an op for postrate cancer a week ago, doing okay now, I totter and wobble etc everywhere, with just my husband (a bit arthiticy) and her son being the only able-bodied we had a whale of a time, cooking, timing things etc caused much mirth and we did not know why. Maybe determination to be happy, anyway it worked, I slept very well on Christmas night.

Must off to bed, try to come and see what you are all up to before New Year. I have prophecied a good one, and a witch
I feel positive!

Night all. Tryphena

Hi, eveyone. I am really sorry I did not read the posts this weekend, because . . .

If I had replied on Saturday: Today is a beautiful spring-like day, sunshine, with high around 75 degrees F.

If I had replied on Sunday: Today is not as nice as yesterday, but still nice; a little chilly and windy, high around 50 degrees F.

Today's reply: Today is cold, wet, rainy, high around 33 degrees F.

That is what procrastination and inattention will get for you! I did not get to share my beautiful sunny Saturday with my friends on the forum.

Diane
