Hello
i am beginnng to learn the importance of oftaking my medication at the right times. It involves disciplining myself to remember. and i am finding that things are more measured when i do.
A few weeks ago the pharmacist from the Pharmacy which organises and delivers my Midas pack of medication contacted me to tell me about a new NHS initiative whereby the Pharmacist would contact me and have a discussion with me about my medication. He phoned me and i had 1/2 hour talk with him about what tablets I was taking, did I know what they were for, when i should be taking them and if i had any problems with them.I found this very helpful and informative as i had forgotten which tablets were which in several instances .He asked about my mobility and weight and said they were trying to organise a weight management course and would i be interested. He said he would send a report to my GP and a copy to me
Sorry i have been a bit long winded but thought the project is interesting and helpful. Its good to have someone to talk things over with .!

Hi Jane
I contact my pharmacist, about all medication, not only Jim's
I believe that's his job, he is more an expert than my GP
He sounds a very nice sincere person , hope he manages to organise a weight management course,
if he does maybe you could tell us
take care

Hi Jane
we have 5 GP in our group and i work attached to the group
The one i try to get to see Jim is great , and will try to go out of his way to help us ,but i find like you he is very busy, as my pharmacist, is specialised in drugs, and if he doesn't no
he goes on the computer and find out there and then, he will also ring the GP to suggest things to him ,so between the both of Them Jim has never had a problem with Medication
have a good sleep
