Hi Juanita! my dad (76, almost 77) has just been diagnosed with the non tremor form of PD. Last Saturday he started with Levodopa/Carbidopa 250/25, 1/4 tablet every 5-6 hours aprox, 3 times a day. No changes so far, I know is too soon to expect any. I was told that most people experience changes the 3rd week of treatment or a bit more. Is this so?
Dad's medication will be adjusted weekly, so the 2nd week he will be taking 1/2 tablet, the 3rd week: 3/4 tablet, and the 4th week: 1 tablet, always 3 times a day, but this dosification will be adjusted according to results or side effects if any.
He still feels very tired, has imsomnia, walking problems etc-
I'd would appreciate to hear your experience with Levodopa/carbidopa. How long did it take to notice any changes?
Thanks in advance for your kind help Juanita!
Best regards!

Hi Alice,
I am sorry, but I doubt that I will be of any help to you. I am not on that medication. I am on 400mg of CoQ10 three times a day. (As far as the dosing of his medication is concerned I have read that that is the way it is done--according to the need and acceptance by the body)
When the holidays are all over and more people get back on the forum there should be someone who can answer your question from experience.

CoQ10 has done fine for me thus far. The neurologist approves of it. As long as I can do so I prefer to use natural things. The time will probably come when I have to do otherwise.
