Heat on leg

My husband has been diagnosed with PD and discovered that when he put a heating pad on the leg with tremors they stopped. Has anyone else had this experience? He is just curious.

I haven't tried a heating pad, but when I get cold I get very stiff and shaky and stay that way until I warm up. It would make sense to me that a heating pad would help stop the tremors.
